“OSHA training” means a hundred different things depending on who is asking. A GC needs 10- and 30-hour cards. A plant needs forklift operators evaluated and lockout done right. A roofing crew needs a fall protection competent person. What they share is a requirement to prove it — and the reason employers call us instead of buying online seats is that 3P Safety Training brings the class to the crew, teaches it live, and hands over the paperwork before we leave. This page is the map; every course links to its own detailed page.
Why On-Site, Employer-Based Training Wins
The safety-training market is crowded with self-paced video portals that print a certificate at the end. They have their place — and it is not the compliance most employers actually owe. OSHA’s standards repeatedly require hands-on evaluation, workplace-specific training, and documentation tied to your equipment and your hazards, none of which a video can deliver. The on-site model fixes that at the root:
- Trained on your equipment — operators evaluated on the trucks and machines they actually run, as the standards require
- Whole crew, one visit — no travel, no hotels, no schedule scatter across a dozen online logins
- Live instructors who work the trade — your crew asks real questions about their real site and gets real answers
- Audit-ready documentation — rosters, tests, evaluations, and cards, filed the way a compliance officer or insurer wants to see them
- Scheduled around production — nights, weekends, turnarounds; the training bends to your calendar, not the reverse
The Training Map — Where to Start
Four families cover almost every OSHA training obligation an employer carries. Start wherever the pressure is:
OSHA Outreach Cards (OSHA 10 & 30)
The DOL cards GCs, owners, and jurisdictions require. Worker-level 10s and supervisor-level 30s, for both construction and general industry, taught live by OSHA 500 and 501 authorized trainers. See how OSHA outreach training works, or go straight to OSHA 10 Construction, OSHA 30 Construction, OSHA 10 General Industry, or OSHA 30 General Industry.
Competent-Person Courses
Where OSHA requires a designated person by name: fall protection, confined space entry, scaffold safety, and excavation and trenching. These are the courses that answer “who is your competent person?” before an inspector has to ask.
Equipment-Operator Certification
Formal instruction plus documented hands-on evaluation on your own machines: forklift and powered-industrial-truck operators and aerial and scissor lift (MEWP) operators. Crane, rigger, and signal-person certification lives with our sister company, 3P Safety Crane & Rigging Training.
Compliance & Site-Safety Courses
The full program: HazCom, lockout/tagout, respiratory protection, arc flash / NFPA 70E, silica, machine guarding, HAZWOPER, and more — the whole slate is on the full course catalog.
Who Teaches Your Crew
3P Safety was founded by Patrick Salazar — an OSHA 500 authorized construction outreach trainer who is also a working NCCCO-certified mobile and tower crane operator, certified crane inspector, and lift director, in the field since 2005, with federal-contract experience where the standards get checked line by line. General-industry outreach is taught by our team’s OSHA 501 authorized trainer. When your superintendent asks how a rule actually plays out on a live jobsite, the answer comes from someone who has been on that jobsite. That is the difference between training that checks a box and training that changes what happens when the load swings.
One Thing We Don’t Do
We do not sell official OSHA 10/30 DOL cards through fully self-paced online video. Our OSHA 500 and 501 authorizations cover in-person, instructor-led delivery — which is both what those authorizations permit and, frankly, what actually builds competent crews. If a vendor is offering your people DOL cards with no live instructor, ask hard questions before you buy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What OSHA training does my company actually need?
It depends on your work and your equipment, but the common obligations sort into four buckets: outreach cards (10/30) where contracts or law require them, competent-person designations for high-risk tasks, documented operator evaluations for powered equipment, and standard-specific compliance training (HazCom, LOTO, respiratory, and the rest). Tell us what your crews do and we will map the requirements to specific courses — no upsell, just the list.
Do you really come to our location?
Yes — on-site delivery is the entire model. Our instructors travel to your jobsite, plant, or warehouse anywhere in the U.S. We are headquartered in Goldsboro, NC, but there is no classroom you have to come to.
How is pricing handled?
Every quote is built for the job: the course, your crew size, and your location. Request a quote through the contact page or call (252) 274-0583, and you will have a number the same week — one price for the visit, not a per-student meter that punishes you for training everyone.
Can you bundle several courses in one visit?
Constantly — it is the most cost-efficient way to train. A plant might run an OSHA 10, forklift certification, and lockout/tagout in the same mobilization; a construction crew might stack fall protection and aerial lift. One trip, one documentation standard, the whole crew qualified.
